CDFP 421 The Interpretive Portrait

Course series
Communication & Design Program Area

Duration: 15 Hours
Fee: $294.38* (Payment in full is required at time of enrolment; HST Included.)

Photographic portraits are the most meaningful and compelling images we can create. They speak volumes about their subjects and the photographers who create them. This course will explore conceptual and stylistic possibilities to help you engage with and represent your subjects in more meaningful ways. A range of photographers from the traditional, to experimental and conceptual, will be studied. Assigned projects, using different working methods, will help you develop more personal portrait approaches and styles.

Note: Instructor: Joel Benard (Fall 2015)

* The standard fee for this course shown, but the fee that you are charged may vary from this. For example, part-time program undergraduate students are charged per their degree program fee table unless they are also registered in a certificate program and are not applying the course credit toward their degree program. Additionally, international students pay an international rate on most courses. Ryerson University also reserves the right to revise fees at any time.
In many cases, non-credit course series are not exempt from GST/HST. In these cases the applicable tax is part of the stated fee, as a "tax included" price, and is so noted.
