Minimum Computer Requirements
Our online courses have very minimal technical requirements – typically a computer purchased in the last three to four years will have sufficient hardware (and often software) resources to allow you to experience and participate in our courses without difficulty.
However, the following are recommended:
- a reliable connection to the Internet (high speed access is strongly recommended; 56K dial-up is acceptable, but will compromise your computer’s performance).
Some courses may also use the following:
- A working sound card and speakers/headphones.
- Microsoft Office 2000 or later, or as advised by your course instructor.
For further information on technical requirements, please visit Courses @ Ryerson: LMS Support.
Adaptive Technology is software or hardware used by students with disabilities to access information, in this case, distance education course content.
