Academic Planning

The importance of academic planning cannot be overlooked. The consequences of poor planning include spending extra time and money because you have taken a course that has not been approved. In some cases, poor planning has even resulted in delayed graduation. If you take the time to follow the steps outlined on this website, what may begin looking like a maze will soon become a clear path.

Remember, if you run into obstacles while planning your studies, you are not alone. The part-time program coordinator is available to answer your questions and to verify that you are going in the right direction. We encourage you to contact the program coordinator to review your plans. This is particularly important during your last year in the program when you are close to graduation.

Create a preliminary academic plan.

The Curriculum Planning Sheets are simple tools designed to assist you in planning your courses in sequence. Make copies so that you can continue to update your plan.
