All levels of government in Canada rely on a number of sources of scientific information in order to create, modify or update public policy. These sources of information can be government departments and agencies or can be derived from data or information. Through specific case studies of government policies, this course will examine the processes by which government seeks, collects, and/or commissions scientific information and how government policy is influenced by scientific information.
