Clinical trials are a crucial part of the process to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of new drugs for use in the healthcare system. This course will examine the process of conducting a clinical trial, including important considerations for the recruitment of patient subject, drafting of research protocols and informed consent forms, regulatory considerations, financial disclosure, and investigator recruitment. A discussion of stakeholder roles and responsibilities will be conducted including specific case studies.
