Information on how to enrol in Food Security courses is available online.

To register in the Certificate in Food Security, visit Registration in a Certificate Program. The Academic Coordinator and several instructors will review your application. They might contact you by phone or email to ask a few follow-up questions.

Generally speaking, to be eligible for the Certificate in Food Security you must have one of the following:

  • senior undergraduate status in good academic standing
  • a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • current graduate student status
  • five years of work experience in a food-security related field

Academic Policies

Please review the policies and guidelines that regulate the administrative and academic aspects of Ryerson University’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, which you must adhere to when enrolled in a continuing education course and/or registered in a certificate program. It is important that you review these policies before you enrol in your courses and/or register in your certificate.

To graduate, you must successfully complete the published certificate curricula from the year you registered in the certificate. Certificate requirements must be completed within six years from the time you were first admitted into the certificate program. You must apply to graduate, prior to the appropriate application deadlines. Consult Graduation for complete details.
