Alex NazarethAlex Nazareth
Learner, Certificate in Data Analytics, Big Data, and Predictive Analytics

In 2014, Alex started at Ryerson University but was unsure of what career he wanted to get into. After completing a data analysis internship, he developed a passion for the field and wanted to explore it further. Since Alex’s undergraduate program didn’t offer many data analytics courses, his friend recommended that he explore The Chang School’s Certificate in Data Analytics, Big Data, and Predictive Analytics. Over the past year, Alex has been taking evening courses and has really benefited from the hands-on nature and helpful staff. This year, he secured a summer job as Big Data Developer, BMO Financial Group, achieving his goal of working at one of the five largest banks in downtown Toronto. Alex has also had the opportunity to network with many industry experts, and is in the process of applying for full-time positions at many large organizations for next spring.
