The Estelle Craig ACT II STUDIO


The Estelle Craig ACT II STUDIO – part of The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education’s Programs for 50+ and Community Engagement at Ryerson University – is a theatre program and creative drama centre that provides adults 50 and older with training and performance opportunities. Students from all walks of life and all levels of experience participate in a positive, supportive community in which they can learn, create, and perform.

ACT II STUDIO’s unique, non-credited curriculum encourages students to engage in artistically unique work that illuminates social and health issues and challenges stereotypes about aging. The program’s wide range of courses includes:

  • Improvisation
  • Movement
  • Camera work
  • Playwriting
  • Directing
  • Scene study
  • Stage craft
  • Writing
  • Clowning

ACT II STUDIO is accredited by the Toronto Association of Acting Studios (T.A.A.S.).

Visit Enrolment for detailed information on how to enrol in individual courses. Returning students can enrol in person (at Enrolment Services and Student Fees, 350 Victoria Street), by mail, or online. New students will need to request a Ryerson Student Number and Ryerson Online Identity in order to enrol online; they can also enrol in person or by mail.
